Kitchen Construction Process:
Kitchen Construction. A lot goes into making a great kitchen – a combination of design skill, quality materials, experience and practical know-how. A lot goes into making a great kitchen – a combination of design skill, quality materials, experience and practical know-how. Good design and planning are essential. Once the design has been specified, Richard and his team of craftsmen at the workshop apply their practical knowledge to create your dream kitchen. They shape the wood or whatever material you have selected, apply your choice of paint or finish and, finally, skillfully fit the units into your space. All hand-painted kitchens are painted before assembly and touched up on-site, thus ensuring a top-class finish. We can paint in any colour – your choice. Delivery and installation Nothing is left to chance when putting your kitchen into place. Electrics and plumbing issues will all have been addressed before we will install. We have trained fitters to install each element of your kitchen making it fit seamlessly into your space. Kitchen Drawer Construction. Both of these drawers are adjustable. The difference between these two drawer types is simply that the one on the left is a traditional dovetail drawer construction – very strong, hard wearing and attractive. The one on the right is a Blum metal power coated drawer tray. Kitchen carcass construction. A real difference in a kitchen – not always obvious – is in the construction of the carcass itself. Here, the carcass on the left is made from a very robust 18mm birch ply, while the one on the right is a more affordable chipboard carcass. Blum Drawer Runners. Blum is a great brand name and we use their drawer runners as standard. Silent, smooth-running and fully adjustable, Blum Movento drawer systems are second to none. In addition to Blum runners, we use Blum hinges on our flush-mounted kitchens; the drawer body can be Blum and we also make solid wood with dovetailed construction. More information here, see brochure. Hardware Along with the choice of wood or finish, the hardware that makes the kitchen work is critical. It is very important to us that our kitchens function and stand the test of time, so we choose the best. Comments are closed.
