All Kitchen quotes will include, as standand, any coluor in ‘Colourtrend Satin’ or
‘Johnston’s Aqua guard’
Some non-standard paint types require additional drying time and or additional
coats. The cost of this additional labour will be added to your quote.
As with all painting projects, we highly recommend procuring a sample to ensure
that you are entirely satisfied with your colour choice. It is particulary important
to view the colours under the lighting conditions you intend to use in your
kitchen.
Our furniture and fittings are hand-painted on site, following the installation of
your worktops.
While we ain to be accommodating as possible, if you wish to change your paint
choice late in the life-cycle of the project, it can result in additional costs and
delays.

EXTRACTION:
PROPOSED:
KITCHEN VENTILATION & EXTRACTION
The primary decision with regard to kitchen ventilation & extraction is whether you will extract the
air from the building or purify and recirculate the air in the room. Both are viable options depending
on the design of your home, but each method comes with some best practices, as we have outlined
below:
THE EXTRACTION METHOD:
• Your ducting should take the shortest and most direct path out of the building, avoiding
unnecessary twist & turns. This will both optimise functionality and minimize maintenance.
• A quality extractor will have a 150mm outlet. This should be matched with a high quality
150mm ducting system. Reduced size or low-quality ducting will result in increased noise,
reduced performance, and an increased risk of sedimentary build-ups in the system.
• Where possible, allow gravity to aid the system by creating a fall on the pipe’s path out of
the building. This will further reduce the risk of stagnant water or grease accumulation.
• Comprehensively securing and insulating the output duct is a great way to minimize the
noise of the system. A bit of effort on installation can greatly improve your experience for
years to come.
THE PURIFICATION AND RECIRCULATION METHOD
Robert Power WordFlow 12/07/2024
While in general we would recommend the extraction method, sometimes the design of the home
makes this problematic, and the recirculation method becomes more practical.
• Installing a high-quality filtration system from the outset is advisable. Skimping on this can
often prove to be a false economy.
• Be diligent about changing the filter regularly. This is not only important for the quality of
the air in your home, but also for the condition and lifespan of the system as a whole.
FITTING
We take great pride in matching the quality of our products with the quality of our installation.
Below are some tips on how you can help us achieve the best results:
• Prior to fitting, your floors should be completely finished, including sealers where applicable.
• Prior to fitting, a dried, base coat of paint is beneficial. However, the final coat should not be
applied until after the kitchen furniture installation is complete.
• Prior to fitting, the room should be cleaned and completely emptied.
THE PROCESS
The initial phase of our installation maps out the location of the worktop around your kitchen, along
with the associated units. One benefit of a bespoke hand-made kitchen is having complete control in
this regard. Once we have done this, we will temporarily install all elements to ensure optimal
functionality. When we are satisfied with the arrangement, we will strip the furniture again for
painting, following which it will be reassembled before we attend to finishing the finer details of the
project
In general, a full kitchen installation will take four weeks, with this time halved to two weeks for an
installation without worktops.
